Together Kate and I have held hands while on our first vacation to Hilton Head, hiking in Yosemite, as we prepared to skydive and as we danced our first dance as husband and wife. Today we are holding hands as she holds our daughter and we celebrate her first Mothers Day.
Kate once told me that she wonders what she is good at, where is her talent? On April 30th, the doctors laid my daughter on Kate's chest and they introduced each other for the first time without saying a word. At that very moment the answers to Kate's questions became clear to me, she was meant to be a mother...........

ReplyDeleteOn May 4, 2009 I went to Michigan to meet my sweet granddaughter "Ella Jade".
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with her the moment I held her (she will be definitely spoiled- if fact
I started spoiling her the moment Katie & Eric told me they were having a baby).
It is hard to believe my "baby" had a baby, this officially made me old. Ella Jade
couldn't have better parents, they are so into her, kissing on her, talking to her and
in Eric's case singing to her and already talking about scaring Ella's male friends away.
When I had to leave to go back to Colorado - I cried, like a baby. At work on my
computer I have a picture of Ella, which I look at when I'm having a bad day and she
just brings a big smile to face. Katie, you are a beautiful mother, a natural!!!!!
And Eric, Ella will definently be laughing alot, you already are a great dad. As you
can tell, I couldn't be any prouder. Thank You.
